Fresh Squeezed Lemonade

 1 ¾ cups fresh squeezed lemon juice, about 8-10 lemons
 2 ¼ cups granulated sugar
 5 cups water

Cut lemons in half. Squeeze lemons with a citrus juicer. Strain the lemon juice through a fine-mesh sieve into a 2-quart pitcher.

Combine sugar and 3 cups of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

Add the dissolved sugar mixture into the pitcher, and add the remaining 2 cups of water. Stir well to combine. Refrigerate until cold.

Note: Taste it, and add more water if it's too sweet. Serve with ice, sliced lemons or sliced limes, if desired.
